About the Future Physician Pipeline Grant Program

The NAPCA Foundation has received several generous donations to establish the Future Physician Pipeline Grant Program (FPP Grant Program). The FPP Grant Program will support early outreach medical school pipeline programs across the nation that are designed to expand access to medical school education for a diverse group of talented students, as early as the 4th grade, including students traditionally underrepresented in medicine, and those that come from families with limited financial resources.

We are interested in supporting non-profit 501c3 organizations that are committed to building a diverse pipeline of future medical doctors and scientists for the physician workforce that is more representative of the U.S. population. The purpose of the grant program is to remove the financial barrier for those students and families that want to participate in early outreach pre-med and medical school readiness pipeline programs but cannot do so without financial assistance.

The FPP Grant Program at the NAPCA Foundation offer grants to tax-exempt public charities described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. The Foundation does not accept applications from individuals, private foundations, fiscal agents, or government units such as fire districts, municipalities, or rotary clubs (whether or not they are 501(c)(3) organizations and similar service clubs.

Our Commitment for 2023 – 2025

The NAPCA Foundation has received several generous donations to establish the “Future Physician Pipeline Grant program. The FPP grant program will focus its efforts to support a select group of students to receive full tuition scholarships to participate in the Medical Physician Preparation Academy’s (MPP Academy) Academic and Summer Intensive Programs for the 2023, 2024, and 2025. The NAPCA Foundation’s policy on non-discrimination prevents us from awarding grant support to organizations that, in their constitution, bylaws, or practices, discriminate against a person or group because of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or religious belief.

Grantees, however, may target services to a particular population when the targeted groups require specialized programs to meet specific needs not shared by the general population.

Application Procedures

We regularly identify and cultivate relationships with nonprofit organizations and other foundations with programs and initiatives that align with our guidelines. However, unsolicited letters of inquiry are also accepted by the foundation.

Making an Unsolicited Request

If you are submitting an unsolicited request, please submit a letter of inquiry (LOI) via email to NAPCA Foundation Grants Administration and include the following:

A brief description of the proposed project
A description of how the project fits with the work of the foundation, including the specific strategic goal that applies
An estimated timeline
The amount requested
Contact information

There are no due dates for LOIs, and we will generally respond within six to eight weeks.
